Nikos has made pie :)

I am Chez Nikos for Thundersprint tomorrow. He has made a Hairy Bikers pie. We are making sure that enough wine has been quaffed that it will taste great. Tomkins Cosmos has made a 10 metre leap in defence of his feline territory and is hopeful of being allowed to join in the pie eating.

My annual pilgrimage to Northwich to meet up with Nikos and ride in circles round the town centre. Though not with blue underlighting and a baked bean can exhaust.

It's enough to put you off camping…in a schoolboy error I left my earplugs on the bike & thus was kept awake first by the sound of the rain falling and then by the howling gale. Rain inside the tent again – I feel like I must be doing something wrong. There was another tentipi on the football pitch looking much more stable than mine…

This is not a road bike….

Me to queuejumping man at Technical Control: “i'm actually in the queue too you know”
QM:”oh, I just saw a road bike and thought…”
Me:”no worries…” (which meant, a road bike with a Thundersprint Paddock Pass and 3 technical control stickers from previous years? This is no ordinary road bike. This is Ruby Thursday and she is here because Frank invites her. But I let him go ahead only because he was pushing a very nice vintage Ducati)

…Thundersprint time! Given that Eric the Seven-Nippled Sleep Depriver really enjoys getting up at 5.30am I'm wondering whether to bring him pillion.
