Cheer up, the food’s not that bad

Scots are renowned for a somewhat dour outlook on life, but disappointment is rarely advertised quite so explicitly as in the slogan for the Food Hub at Aberdeen airport – meet, eat and greet.

    Ha, you’ve obviously been here before – you understand what greet means in Scottish, and you know better than to try the food!Does this mean you’re visiting us? Lovely day Sunday, but I think it’s supposed to rain Monday – guess you must be here given your recent record for drenchings!

  2. I escaped the rain by hiding in Shetland for the week… apart from Thursday, when it found me, it was blue sky and 50-mph winds all the way.
